grants pass with mom

Today was relaxing, encouraging, enlightening, and just special.  My mom and I took the day to go down to Grants Pass and back.  My great aunt & uncle (her aunt & uncle) live down there along with one of their sons.  My wonderful sweet aunt is deep into Alzheimer disease and has also been recovering from a broken hip the last few months.  She was finally back home and it was a better time to visit.

Here’s us beginning our journey early this morning.  We both still have sleepy eyes!

It was freaky rainy the first half down and the second half back up.  The glass makes it look more blue than it really was.  It was dreary!

We of course had to make a pit stop in Roseburg…
And we eventually made it to Grants Pass.  Here are a couple Grants Pass-y pictures…
And, finally the good pictures…blessed faces of dear family.
I snapped this last one on my phone to not draw attention to myself.  I love the hand holding and apparently she still has a very good grip! 🙂
It was a great visit and I’m thankful for the opportunities to still glean from the wisdom of my elders.  I loved our conversations and just listening to them talk.  Their generation is just beautiful to me, can you tell?  ❤
