i am liberated!

A specific chapter of my “life book,” if you will, never felt complete.  I have been a piano player from a young age but always had the desire to learn violin.

Come my junior year of high school {or the summer before it, I don’t remember}, I began taking lessons!  It was FUN but I certainly didn’t improve very quickly.  My parents will attest to that.  🙂

Long story short, the violin left my life by the next summer.  Too busy, too distracted, a surprise death in the family…there were lots of reasons.  However, it was obviously something I could never quite come to terms with as I was always wishing for an opportunity to learn again…

Fast forward to several months ago and I had the opportunity to borrow a nice violin from a phenomenal violinist we know.  I thought {oh, so very wrongly} that I finally had time in my life to practice regularly.

Turns out not.  But you can’t say I didn’t try.  🙂  I feel good for trying one more time and it was liberating to pack it all up this week.  Ahh, check that off!
