moving dirt around

This post originally published on a previously-owned blog and was imported here to simplify my life. Please excuse any confusion due to this merge. I hope you enjoy the content!

Currently, I am stiffly lounging on my couch with my laptop on my lap and my back pressed into a nice & hot heating pad.  I seriously can hardly walk down the hallway of my small house, but I don’t regret the 3.5 hours of labor I did this afternoon.  Totally worth it.

I forgot to take an entirely “before” picture, but this should suffice…

I turned over all the dirt, de-clumped, and mixed in some more compost and soil.

The picture right above here was taken in the pouring rain, luckily coming right when I finished the first bed.  I thought I was done for the day, but man…how long do I have to live here to realize the rain patterns?  It was done in 10 minutes and so I pulled my dirty clothes back on and trudged forward. 🙂

I’m so proud of myself for actually getting this done.  My husband has so much on his plate for this month, he didn’t know when he could do it.  And some of my started plants indoors need to be transplanted very soon!  So I did it.  And have some sun on my cheeks to prove it. Yay. 🙂

  3. Oh so many things. 🙂 Tomatoes (2 types), peas, onions (lots), green beans, mini yellow bell peppers, a new type of super hot peppers, eggplants, green beans, cauliflower (hopefully, they are giving me trouble right now ha), basil, green beans, beets, and oh, my favorite…green beans. :)Several of these I've never grown before so we will see if I can actually do it!
