It’s been a TERRIFIC last week. Mike & I have been down in Cusco, Peru on a short-term mission project. Over 30 short-termers joined us from around the States and let me just say it’s fun being a short-termer for once! Mike used to manage these projects when we lived down here and, of course, I handled the money. So we extra appreciate the LTSSs who are running this project; they are seriously doing a fantastic job.
Always being on the managerial side and having to take care of financial things in the background, I never was able to participate in all the activities. I’ve been able to interpret/work at 2 days of medical clinics (my fav), visit a women’s prison, help put on a kids’ festival and so much more.
Tomorrow they need me to interpret on the construction site, so that’s going to be interesting… can’t do much physically and the sun is muy fuerte up there, but I should survive with my newly purchased hat, 100 SPF and mucho agua. 🙂
You can see hundreds of pictures by clicking here, so I just shared ones of me haha. Hope to give more updates later, but I’m almost out of internet time. Ciao!
