A wise friend recently taught us this clever little acronym.  It really has nothing to do with being a “brat,” but it makes it easier to remember!

One of the most common things missionaries (and sometimes travelers) experience outside the States is the stomach bug.  It comes in all shapes and sizes but usually the same consistency… Sorry, bad mental image? 🙂  Another thing we have in common is that we’ve all pretty much gotten over any qualms about talking about this with anyone.  Ha!

So, here’s the breakdown: If this happens, is happening or you think might happen to you one day, remember these four foods:

B – banana
R – rice
A – applesauce
T – toast

Simple, right?  I’m sure there are others out there, but these four foods are some of the best solutions to calming an upset stomach.  One may work better than another for any particular person, but at least one of these should help your tummy!
