restaurant chat turns to big plans

This post originally published on a previously-owned blog and was imported here to simplify my life. Please excuse any confusion due to this merge. I hope you enjoy the content!

Mike and I seem to have our best conversations at restaurants.  And you can usually find us at one of them at least once a week.  We have made Friday nights our sacred time together – cell phones go off, work email accounts are closed and we get out of the house together.  Even when there is an event that others may think we ought to help at or a gathering we should attend or just pressing work issues, we try to keep this night as off-limits as possible.

So all that to say…last night was a great date night.  We had a lot to talk about… Specifically, about a giant, slightly insane road trip all over the Midwest. 🙂  It started out more as a joke than anything else but it sure evolved quickly!  Plans are already solidifying and dog sitter is already secured (thank you, Kylee!) for the 2 whole weeks we’ve begun to plan for the end of September.

The purpose?  Well, it was speared onward in the name of fundraising – something that we have to do to move back to South America – but also to see friends & family we haven’t seen in a very long time…some we don’t know when we’ll see again after we move.

So if you live in Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Wisconsin, or Wyoming (no, we aren’t traveling to those in that order and, yes, I’m addicted to alphabetical ordering) and you’re interested in hearing more about our mission call and how you could be a part of our support team in any capacity, please email me or comment below!  We would love to both see you and discuss being partners in ministry.
