As you may have seen, we are on a road trip – mostly to raise support for our new contracts in Ecuador, but also to see dear friends and family with whom it’s been too long.
You won’t be seeing our 4:00am photos, although we did take some to start our journey off right. 😉 This first picture makes me laugh, because my Oregonian husband gets so nervous to drive 75mph!
From the Portland hotel to my aunt Neva’s house in Colorado to the straight and flat roads through Kansas, we eventually made it to Bethany, Oklahoma that evening with a surprising amount of energy.
This was Mike’s first time to Kansas and my first time since I was seven. My birth state!
Oklahoma…also a first for Mike…and it’d been since 9th grade for me.
We stayed with the best cousins ever and love them dearly. How wonderful it was to see them again – and to meet Seth!
We also got to see some old friends from Rogers and meet their special people (husband, kiddos, & girlfriend). 🙂
On our way out of town, we stopped in downtown Tulsa for lunch and to walk (something we won’t be doing a lot on this gigantic trip!).
Next stop Arkansas!
