no more babies

This post originally published on a previously-owned blog and was imported here to simplify my life. Please excuse any confusion due to this merge. I hope you enjoy the content!

So, I am the oldest of four and we’re all about three years apart.  As I got older of course everyone else did, too.  When the middle sibs kept getting older it was fairly normal.  But when Roxanne the BABY got older, it was just crazy.  She’s not really a baby, nor is she spoiled, but when she turned 18 a couple weeks ago, it was weird.  She’s supposed to still be nine years old, right?

Anyway, we had a great evening celebrating it with her.  We’d already been setting up the long tables for a large Thanksgiving gathering so half of it was already prepared!

Roxanne had a little helper with all her gift opening.  She wasn’t like you might imagine a 4-year-old being, over-stimulated or hyper at a bunch of surprise presents, rather she was just so pleasant sitting there in Roxanne’s lap the whole time…and she definitely had her hand in every inch of gift opening. 🙂

The range of emotions on their two faces was awesome.

And sorry for the double glare… The point was the birthday girl and her candles while all I really got was two baldies. 🙂
