When we made the decision to move to Ecuador, we realized aloud to each other that we would have to sell a LOT more than we did when we moved to Peru. This was a longer commitment and it was silly to store most things. Dishes, towels and furniture – ehh… Great kitchen appliances – a little sad to leave…. but BOOKS. Oh my goodness. Beloved books.
A combination of inheriting a bunch of books, marrying someone with a lot of books and just having a lot myself means the ratio of “owned” to “have read” was very low. I had my work cut out for me if I was to read as many books before selling them as I possibly could! Well, here is what I accomplished.
I might have missed a few at the beginning of the year because I didn’t start recording till June and couldn’t remember, but this was fun to track. My goal was 40 but I didn’t quite make it…nbd. A few were tiny missionary books but I think the lengths of C&P and 100 Years made up for that. 🙂 Plus I didn’t finish a single book in December…
I love reading!
P.S. If you are on goodreads, you can do a 2013 reading challenge with me. I am assuming at this point that they’ll do what they did in 2012, but hopefully. 😉 Happy New Year, everyone!
