my life lately, in short statements

This post originally published on a previously-owned blog and was imported here to simplify my life. Please excuse any confusion due to this merge. I hope you enjoy the content!

I love boomerang.

My fervent and sometimes tearful prayers were answered and the whole “driving a manual transmission on ridiculous Quito hills” problem/fear was OWNED last week.

I’m excited that we have enough air miles to go home for Christmas!

Fitbit has changed my aerobic life.

I walked out of our neighborhood by myself for the first time a few days ago. Heh. Came back with a dozen eggs in a bag and a new Christian friend named Sophia.

Mike and I super love our house and we will share pictures soon (I know I keep saying that).

I couldn’t stop grinning on Monday of this week because it was literally the first “perfect” work day I’d had available to me in 2 months. This whole week, I’m home with nothing to do but work and that THRILLS me.

I am thankful that Quito has slow cookers, because we’ve been in our house a month now and the landlords still have not sent a technician to fix our oven.

Quito may be much more modern than Arequipa but they still have a few backwards-isms… Our latest favorite is the internet company cutting our internet – Mike said we’d only been in the house five days and we didn’t receive a bill and they explained that’s because their printer is broken.

Yes, that was their final answer.
