The kids and I go pick up children’s books from the library all…the…time.
That’s great, right? World of books at our fingertips!
The problem is, I “impulse shop” and grab a few more grown-up books almost every time. My piles of books are ridiculous.
Love Lives Here was one I had known about when it came out last year, so when I saw it displayed, I scooped it up. It’s a fast yet memorable read, in a similar style of Love Does, her husband’s book (I haven’t read his most recent one so maybe that one, too).
Many nuggets were gleaned from this one…which I itched to underline as is my habit, but alas…library book. 🙂
The book wasn’t life-shattering or filled with never-before-heard wisdom, but it was filled with wisdom and experience. My life will never be hers (not even close), but the book still reminds me of ways I can respond and ways I can love.
An encouraging read, overall!
